Hello All,

What is the difference between VCS Simulation and TMAX Simulation of patterns which are generated by the TMAX, this is the only case for without timing..
For timing, We only use VCS Simulation. But for without Timing, wht's the difference?
What are the limitation of TMAX Simulation over VCS?

Thanks & Regards,
Maulin Sheth

Tmax simulation is to calculate the fault coverage.

vcs is moreover like functional simulation with timing information.. but in tetramax we can do only fault simulation

Yes., TMAX can do only fault simulation but VCS simulation is the simulator for any patterns like Functional or DFT.
VCS can do simulation with timing also which is not supported by tmax.
