Hello, I have built two patch antennas to test basic array theory.
permitivity is 4.4 f=2.4Ghz
So by theory wavelength is Lambda=300/(2.4*sqrt(4.4))=59.59mm
by theory if distance between antennas is larger then wavelength then we have to see grating lobes
but as you can see bellow ,there is no grating lobes at all.
Why is that?
Thanks.

Light confusion. Radiation pattern is ruled by wavelength in air (125 mm) rather than wavelength "inside" the patch antenna.
