Hello

I'm looking for examples of simulation of an antenna in a flexible substrate (Kapton) with ADS.

Thanks for ur help

why don't you add it as a new material? find its electrical properties and insert them. I do this in CST, is this option available in ADS ?

Yes, Eng.Wad it's possible to define new substrates in ADS, but what I'm looking for is what tony-lth said "antenna bend situation."

tony-lth, have u plz an example or how can I do that?

The bend situation can be easily simulated in 3D simulators like HFSS. If u insists using ADS, remember that the curved parts can only be modeled at the xy plane, since the geometry along the z axis should be uniform.

Yes I think with ads I can't simulate that along z axis, have u plz an example in hfss

many thanks

By taking advantage of the modeling capability of HFSS, it is easy to simulate the bend situation. In particular, there are two features which facilitates this kind of modeling greatly:
1) Sweep - sweep a line to form a sheet, sweep a sheet to form a solid
2) Thicken - a sheet can be thickened to form a solid with an assigned thickness

hello

there is an other method : export your project as file.sat and use bonzai3D to bend your design and import it with hfss

I would use HFSS directly but it seems difficult
