Can anyone gimme the procedures to design a simple microstrip antenna?

you can use the software of HFSS,it will help you !!

here are some very simple formulas that us non-antenna guys can apply with moderate success. tweaking in the width and height dimensions is necessary if circular polarization is desired.

hi dalila, you can find a really nice example in "antennas design" by C. Balanis. You can also check out Odiseus´ RF page : h**p://www.rfic.co.uk

Hope it helps. Regards.

hi buddy,
microstrip antenna is a wide rang of antennas, containing p@tches, apertures, printed dipoles, so on. if you mean p@tches, they are a rich family of antennas too: in shape: rectangular, circular, sectroal, ring, triangular,...; in bandwidth and size: thin sub, thick sub, high permittivity, ...; in feeding technics: edge fed, probe fed, aperture fed, L-probe fed, ...; and ...!
design of a p@tch is directly linked to these charasteristics, and choosing between them is depend on your design request.
so, if you are interested in a certain p@tch design, please specify it better, otherwise, you better read books like garg, bhartia and co-authors' "handbook of microstrip antennas".
