Years ago I tried installing S5 on a dos machine but had no luck since the install disk (2 of them) were meant for the PG730 siemens programmer. It had its own dos system with a file extraction utility that I could not find for msdos. In the end I gave up, thinking that the PG730 was probably incompatable with MSDOS or that the PG730 had a built in dongle that would only allow the S5 disks i had to work with it. I did find some companies that had S5 programming software but the high costs of these packages made me decide to just use the brick (PG730)
