hi my GSM/GPRS shield keep displaying the following message over and over again :

RDY

+CFUN: 1

+ENCRET: 0

+CPIN: READY

what does this mean ?? how to stop that ??

note am using a 9 volt 2A external Adapter

Another problem :when sending AT+CMGS = "phone number"
it gives me
+CMS ERROR: SM BL not ready

whats the solution

thanks in advance

I am using serial monitor of arduino , the shield worked good with another sim card ... i think the problem is related to the first sim card

Yes the problem is with the SIM card. Whenever you are inserting a SIM card and power it on. It has to register to network first and then proceed for other commands. I think the SIM is not registering with the network. So try to change the SIM card with different networks and then give a try...

You cannot stop this as this is the mandatory output from the module on everytime it boots up...

Before sending the SMS, pls check what is set for AT+CMGF...

It should be set as AT+CMGF=1...

Then try again sending the sms..
