sim 900 modem not connecting with 2G/3G sim cards

I am using a sim900a gsm module . It is working fine with 2G sim cards. When i insert 2G/3G sim card i get an error AT+CPIN - Error. can anyone help me out with this.
 

Please check the sim card holder.. and when modem is on then u have check at+ipr=baudrate.. it will reply ok.. switch off and on the modem..
