how to be up to date about works,projects (product based or research based projects) that are going on in the fields signal processing and communication?
 

use IEEE ,ISO etc

They publish the papers on current research in progress. but they wont give them free you should buy a subscription to the subject that you need. and you can also read IEEE spectrum magazine
