Shortest path algorithm with gps?

gps shortest path algorithm

With a predefined gps coordinate, is it possible to find the shortes path to that point,
in an embedded computer?

Benchmarking of shortest path done by my college (shortest path implementation was tuned by heurstics):
Z80 - 2 minute
M32C- 30 secs
XSCALE - 1-2 seconds
