Dear all,

Initially i coded for single axis solar tracker. The code working fine for Single axis system. Now I have array of solar tracker They are place 3200mm apart from each other. Now i wanted implement back track algorithm here. My location latitude:13.08 longitude:80.20.
Back track algorithm here is adjust panel such way that max shadowing get avoided.

x- modules length=1700mm
ω-modules angle will changes with time, Since i am using linear actuator my actuator angle will be +45 from 7AM to 9:30 Am and -45 from 3.30 pm to 18pm. During this period my tracker position will be in +45 or -45 deg angle. So question here during this period how to adjust panel posttion inorder to avoid shadow

Shadow length calculation formula

Excel fine found in below link

do you really want to adjust the panels tilt angle, or determine the minimum distance between panels?

The reason for tracking is to maximize solar collection, but if you are adjusting the angle [to eliminate shadows], it is conflicting with the objective!

Yes I wanted to adjust panel tilt angle When there is shadow. This shadow will be influence in morning 7Am 9:30AM and evening 4pm to 16 Pm. Panel will not get Drift to much degree

so you have keep this x * sin(180 - ω - α) / sin(α)
less than d

x- modules length
α-solar radiation angle
ω-modules angle
d -distance between panels
