Hello all,

Which violation has to give more importance setup , hold or transition comparatively?

To work chip properly both violations needs to be fixed. Only thing is if you have setup violation chip will still work properly at lower frequency which not same in case of hold violation.

Thanx for replay,
I wanted to know more about transition violation. is we have to give preference to transition violation over setup and hold violation? OR hold vioation has to give more priority for fixing as it is independant of frequency?

Hello all,

Which violation has to give more importance setup , hold or transition comparatively?

In the First case, Both Violations has to be given importance.

HOLD Violations needs to be taken care in design itself, so you can say the priority .
Set Up Violations can be fixed even after the design by Changing the clock frequency.

Hope it helps
