Is there any way out to separate ac and dc signals ? I mean if input is a random signal containing both ac and dc parts , then is it possible to separate ac and dc ? Will capacitor be of any help because a capacitor blocks dc ?

In over-simplified terms, capacitors block DC and inductors block AC.
