I'm trying to separate through-hole and SMD components in my production documentation generated from Altium. Specifically I want to be able to generate separate assembly drawings, pick & place files etc. for the SMD and through-hole components. At the moment I'm (mis)using variants to achieve this, but for a product with several actual variants this multiplies to so many variants it becomes difficult to maintain them all. Any ideas on a better way to achieve this would be appreciated.
