How could the transceiver control the receiving sensitivity ?

The receiver sensitivity is function of receiver noise figure, receive channel bandwidth, signal-to-noise, and receiver gain.
Generally the system is controlling the gain (adjusting the AGC), and sometimes the channel bandwidth (which in WiMAX could change dynamically)
Also WiMAX system is changing dynamically the modulation type for different channel characteristics. Each modulation type require different signal-to-noise ratio, which will affect the receiver sensitivity.
