Hi,

you might want ot check the following link - https://www.usbdeveloper.com/
they produce a small board to do exactly what your after, it comes with schematics and software and has a very small footprint - it might save you a lot of time. It has the Phillips USB2 I on it, but is consideralbly cheaper than their offering.

Since the TUSB6250 data sheet is still not available at TI here is
the Product Preview which I downloaded a few months ago.
This preview is not available anymore at at TI.

Warning : there must be something wrong with the pinout
compared against the TUSB6250 ref design.

Any limitation of the MCU/MPU work on the USB2.0_IDE project? We target on the USB2_ATA100 or ATA133, Our exist 8051 is a 4T based MCU. I found that TI embedded the one of 2T 8051. Can our 4T 8051 can meet the specs?

Is it possible to use a FPGA instead of Ti's and other companies devices?

I think using a FPGA is possible. There is a free USB 2.0 core at opencores...
I am not shure if this core is ready to use.

But I think most of the time it will be cheaper to use a a ready made chip.

Cypress is sampling the ISD-300LP(TM) (CY7C68310) low-power mass-storage controller. Compatible with all industry-standard ATA/ATAPI devices, the ISD-300LP enables portable computer users to take their mass-storage subsystems with them without the need to plug into wall outlets.

A lot of useful info here but missing some sample code.

I have some ISP1581 USB2 chip from philips and there are several USB to IDE sample/evaluation kits availibel for mony. But are there anyone that can chare the code from any of those projects, would be of great help.

hi:
PL-2307 is a USB1.1 IC,how about the PL-2507's schematic?what's the difference between 1.1 & 2.0 in physical connect?one more question: none code is needed in the IC?

:?:  I understand you have the schematics . Do the work if they do please send them to sunshainex@yahoo.com

Re: USB2IDE project

Does anybody have schematics with ISP1581 chip?

Re: USB2IDE project

Where to connect RESET pin from IDE (pin #1) to ISP1581?

Re: USB2IDE project

how to control the ISP1581 by 80C51....??

I would like to get the schematics and the source code....

meet someone

Are you talking about meet someone or something else?! Umm. There is a good page for meet someone perhaps!
Also, you can find some other content on it,such as rotisseries or bnc cable or prelit christmas trees.
You can search on the homepage try some other keywords,no ads even.these page updated every day.Because of the huge database,it perhaps not very fast,if you don't like it,take it easy.

Re: USB2IDE project

before getting into trouble..i bought a couple of this...

works perfect!

Re: USB2IDE project

Hey Guys, I also want to make a USB to IDE controller myself.

If you people has a circuit diagram for any of the PIC's from MICROCHIP, then upload it here including the HEX file & the Driver for Windows.

Thanks in advance & Bye,
