we are using T-10 ferrite core with Al value 1900nH in driver transformer for electronics ballast. We have made 12&2 turns on it. do the inductance index changes with 12 turns. do the core operates in saturation with 12 turns?

Which is better, whether to measure the inductance across 2 turns or 12 turns.

pls help me out

when you mesure the inductance , 2turn will give different value than 12 turn.

you know what is the ind value from the circuit and for which it is applied .

whether the core saturates or not depends on the current thro the winding.

does the Al value also changes with 2 tuns & 12 turns?

The Al is an intrinsic value and does not change with the number of turns applied, for many turns the additional "air core" inductance will add to the overall inductance, measured inductance can vary if you are biasing the core with significant DC current, if the ampere-turns/mag path length are too great you will head into saturation.

so will it affect my circuit with 12 turns because the inductance has been incresed?

What are the volts applied to this transformer? and what is the cross sectional area of the core? with this data saturation can be computed.
