I have a load of 12v 1A DC
i want to connect a fuse with this load to escape any loss in case of current fluctuation so plz suggest me a fuse that should be connected and also tell me either it will be connect with DC or AC.
Saituation is as shown here
at which position should i connect the fuse????????????
and what should be the value of fuse??????????

If the purpose is to protect against output over current or short circuit, then connect it between the 12V DC and the load. However this won't protect against, for example, a shorted bridge rectifier. For that, connect the fuse between transformer output and bridge rectifier.

If the purpose is to protect against problems such as shorted transformer winding, etc, connect a fuse between 220VAC and transformer.

If you're going to use the fuse in series with the load, you can use a fuse with rating between 1.5A and 2A. However, remember that a fuse isn't going to be a good overcurrent protection if you require precise (or quick) overcurrent protection. For that you should use an "electronic fuse". What a fuse will protect against is repeatitive excessive overcurrent and short-circuit.

Is Zener also used for this purpose toooo?????
 

Zener is used for over-voltage protection, not over-current protection.

By electronic fuse, I was referring to an electronic circuit that functions like a fuse, but works with a current sensor, comparator and MOSFET (or other electronic switch). It could even use a microcontroller. There, the circuit detects the current flowing through and shuts down the output temporarily or latches to stay shut if the current exceeds a reference current.
