RS485 PC comunication con vb6

Hello, has someone developed a software in vb6 to communicate in RS485 with PIC18f4550 by using MIKROC ? with RS32 everything ok, with RS485 communication does not work; can this be due to the fact I am using a USB-RS232 adapter ? the adapter RS232 to RS485 is working
