hiz to all....

i need to design narrow band and wideband filters. i have little theoratical knowledge but no practical. can anyone tell me the tool which i can use to design filters

wideband filter ranges are. 20MHz to 200MHz, 200-500MHz, 500 to 2500MHz etc
narrow band: filter for wifi, GSM, DCS, 3G, 4G etc

help me about the hardware and software design requirements

Thanks in advance

Narrowband: Suggests the filter operates around a single frequency. LC tanks and crystals are suited for this.

Wideband: Can be made by putting a low-pass after a high-pass (or vice versa).

This simulation illustrates these basic types separately and combined.

The capacitor values result in rolloff curves in the 500 to 2500 MHz range.

The third schematic is probably of the most interest to you.

its not esay to design so wide bandwidth. But you can use ADS to simulate it.
