Dear guys,
Iam trying to design an Ethernet to rs232 converter using RTL8019AS and I have encountered problems such as:
1-What should I exactly program in the microcontroller so that 8019 will support TCP/IP protocol.
2-I can't understand some parts of the8019 manual. What are the differences and usages for jumper and jumperless modes, and do I need a 9346 in jumper mode ?
I would appreciate any kind of help.

8019

The RTL 8019 contains the Link LEvel ethernet protocol pre-programmed in it. You just need to initilize it. The TCP/IP part goes in microcontroller.

If you use the RTL8019 in jumper mode, you dont need the 9346.

Have a look at the following website

www.dunkels.com/adam/uip

I think you will find mostly what you need.

Hi all,
Does anyone help me to undestand this circuit?
I don't know how to transfer data from AVR microcontroller to PC or other devices (microcontroller) through network.

best regards.
