555 timer for led flasher

thanks 4 the post.

I've seen the datasheet 4 LM3909 already. I want to use a 555 timer both as an oscillator and a led flasher. I can't get the cct right...

blinking led 555 timer

Hi Polag,

I designed this circuit with the ICM7555 to replace the obsolete LM3909
in a blinking led circuit, or a poor man's alarm system. The circuit was
was designed to operate from a 9 volt battery and to consume as little
as possible. Current consumption is 200 µA and the circuit will continue
to work until the battery voltage drops to approx. 5 volt. No black magic,
I used the charge of the timing capacitor to make the led blink.
