I got a electric screwdriver with 14.4 V/1.2Ah accumulators,
but the accumulator seems to be dead.

As I usually using it indoors, I would like to replace the battery
with a transformator, to be able to operate it from 220V mains.

What kind of transformator should I use?

please help,
thanks
Zed

I don't understand if you want put it inside the screwdriver...
however you can use a simple transformer of about 40VA 220/12Vac ,a C filter and a zener/bjt voltage stabilizer made by a TIP 41, 2n3055 or other.

I would like to put it into the dead battery's cover,
would you please show me a small schematic about
that stabilizer?

thanks,
Zed

The transformer is too big to fit in the cover.
If you cannot have the transformer outside, you must build a primary switching converter which is much mode difficult to design and build respect to the first solution.
