Make it like this .... <<< uC_____MOC________BT136>>> use PWM and set firing angle of BT 136.... if u didn't use MOC then u have to use a zero crossing detector! MOC series have built in Zero Crossing Setup..... use following circuit...

The circuit is from EFY and it works well. All these published circuits are tested before printing. I don't see any problem in the circuit.
