Hello Everybody, I´m not good at electronics, so I thought I´d ask for some help. I want to add coin acceptor to a HDMI cable to control a ps3/360/monitor etc with coins. I think the easiest way is to just cut one of the lines inside a HDMI cable and add a relay to it. The coin acceptor will activate the relay, hence enabling the hdmi connection. My question is if this will work, which hdmi pin should I send to the relay/on off switch? I was thinking the Hot Plug line wich is only one pin (but I read somewhere that the hot plug is an LV-TTL level signal) so I don´t know if going through a relay will affect it, a friend told me to cut the ground but there are many ground lines and I dont think messing with a data line will be a good thing. Anyone has any recomendations for this? I´d really appreciate any help!! thanks!!
