Higher Q is a common result of reduced R (or reduced proportion of R). Hence we can expect increased Ampere flow, and maybe increased energy storage. However this is not directly caused by higher Q but by reducing R. Because to avoid unequal comparison we ought to reduce applied power. Thus not as much energy is stored however not as much energy is lost either.
Higher Q tends to cause an LC combo to have:
* Longer tendency to continue oscillations.
* However requires more intense 'kick', or more cycles, to start it oscillating.
* Greater selectivity. Less responsive to noise off-frequency.
