Hi,
This is not totally related to analog circuit design but there are no threads specifically for this topic. I wanted to ask when IEC 61000-4-2 ESD test is performed on an equipment should the equipment be operational. Take for example a computer is tested then is it enough that the computer cord is connected to socket so as to provide ground connection which provides the path for the discharge current or should it be switched on. Please reply as soon as possible and little extra information is appreciated.
