could any1 provide a doc, link or good book for gerber files,

gerber is the standard format

there are different formats of PCB depends upon the software but the Gerber is the standard formate
it is same for all softwares

you can ask your PCB vendor to tell you what kind of gerber files they need

hi gerber fomat is fixed and the type of gerber layers depends on u r pcb vendor...
