Dear all,
I have designed a BGR to generate a reference voltage of -0.6V. I have to design a buffer for the same now. Any leads on how I can go about it? Can i design a 2 stage op-amp that can be used as a buffer ? In that case what is the range of VICM? Are there any other better configurations?
TIA

Also, the requirement is that the buffer must drive large current.
The buffer will contribute offset and gain errors to the
reference voltage. However it can also be a place to do
voltage trimming (presuming you can stand the current
taken by a resistor network) and let the bandgap be TC-
only trimmed.
Your input common mode voltage will be whatever input
you feed it - the negative input will be forced to the same.
Until you say quantitatively what "large" current means,
any choice is as good as another.
A reference which drives large current is more like a
fixed voltage regulator, and looking at those which are
made in similar technology (not said) would probably
be a good place to start learning.
