I am supposed to analyse the properties of non-rectangular patches e.g. inset feeds and later simulate it. One requirement is a large bandwidth, but generally ordinary inset feeds has a quite narrow bandwidth. Have anyone got a suggestion for a promising topology? Possible operating frequency bands are L, S and C-band.
At first I will only simulate one patch alone and later simulate the performance of two or three pathes interconnected.
i saw a paper on reconfigurable patch antennas on IEEE trans. a few months back.so if u have access to their database u can try to get that and maybe some more papaers.i think that may be useful for u.
To increase the bandwidth you can add slot towards the edges of patch at both sides....It will increase the bandwidth.Just try. I am also doing same reconfigurable antenna.
