Just a shame its so hard to buy one, the A version took most of this year to come out, now it seem even the new B version is doubtful before the end of the year, hopefully all the rewritten firmware for the B will be around as well.
Im just fed up of the delays. The camera was supposed to be available this year. It took them 6 months to
add two screw holes to the R-pi board and still cheap out with the SD card connector which is friction fit (yuk).
Also, what would have been more useful to more people may have been the ability to interface multiple lower-res
cameras via a standard i/f, rather than a single hi-res camera.
Plus, it seems it may not be possible to 'overlay' before performing H.264 conversion from the camera output.
