Hi there,

In radios we often see some locked adjustment made from some wax or soft glue. People call it wax but I don't think it is really wax.
We can remove it by scratching it, it was probably some kind of paste so that it won't drip. I don't hink it is hard glue.

Is there a product designed specifically for that ?

One example

Just curious.

Thank you.

Hi,

for precision resonance systems you need to be careful, because some glue has problematic change of e_r when curing and with change of temperature.

So if you adjusted your resonance frequency before applying the glue/coating the frequency will change.
Also the resonance frequency will drift with temperature.

There are better and worse materials. Maybe the wax is a good one.
