Hi there,

I have an old AM FM alarm clock with a broken tuning capacitor and I want a replacement capacitor. I found some models on AliExpress and eBay but I am not sure of the exact model.

Check where the AM FM antennas wires are attached and the name Pheonix is on the cap.

If you know this tuning capacitor or a pins to pins compatible one let me know.

Thanks !

It goes in a vintage AM FM Stereo Alarm clock Candle Model No JCR-850

Sadly I can't find the schematic. It is in pretty good shape aesthetically at least

I saw a used one at some auction site but it was for pickup only and not near my place. I will try to find a used one and take his board or tuning capacitor.

Don’t you already HAVE a used one? Why would you take a working unit apart to fix a non-working unit?

I’d just buy the $10 part and see if it works.

Ok,

I made errors in this post right at the beginning and I cannot delete it. Trying to do to many things at the same time. Read to fast and post to quickly without rereading. I am really looking for that exact tuning capacitor, I have order some that seem to be close. Will see.
