can anyone please tell me the difference between ASIC ,FPGA and CPLD .atleast
3 differences.

asic is application specifical integration circuit
FPGA IS field pragrammable gate arrays

ASIC stands for Application Specific Integrated Circuit.
FPGA stands for Field Perogrammable Gate Array.
CPLD stands for Complex Programmable logic device.
You design your asic using custom or semicustom flow while in the other two u only write a code to program them. FPGA contains more flip-flops than CPLD

give me some more structural and architectural difference rater that its Expansion

better asking this simple here . u can search in google and previous our posts.

ASIC is designing a model for specfic application
CPLD its a complex PLD . nothing but advance PLD.
FPGA we can program then erase it then u can do . all program store in basis of LUT . if u wanna fuse permanently use eprom to store bit file.

Hi,
ASICs are fixed ICs but FPGAs and CPLDs are pogrammable ones that have oragnized raw gates and so the latter can be alinged to special purposes.

FPGAs have more IOs and more gates and lower routing delays rather than CPLDs.

Yes, ASIC is a fixed IC, which production porcess is little bit similar to development FPGA structure especially for big one, but ASIC process more complex and expensive.

FPGA is programmable device which as a rule store its configuration in static RAM and lose it after power off therefore FPGA need PROM for booting, FPGA is a complex IC and have capacity many thousands gates.

CPLD is programmable device which have certain structre (Macrocell, switch matrix, Functional Block) and as a rule store its configuration in its own (on-chip) memory.
