We have a dc motor and two gears. Gear1 one has bigger turn ratio. (It reduces the speed and increases the torque more than Gear2).
So i think that dc motor with Gear1 must draw smaller currents for the same load. But it seems it doesn't. What is the reason of this?
The parameters of your load affect the power drawn. As long as the losses in the gears are low the electrical power in gets converted to load mechanical power with an efficiency factor.
