quality factor of cavity resonators and coupling coefficient

hi 2 all....
in microwave resonators we calculated the Q and coupling coefficient.for critical coupling k=1 is ok, but for over coupling is given in liao and kulkarni as k=swr but how k=swr and for under coupling how k=reciprocal of swr?plz clarify this plz....
