pulse output circuit in energy meter

Hi,

it is called "S0" interface.

Here you can connect other external metering devices.
The simplest is a mechanical pulse counter. It shows the ammount of energy.

thanks Klaus. I have some more doubts.

1. So if I ignore this circuit,will it affect other circuit?
2. Should I add any circuit for finding active and reactive power? or is it internal calculation by microcontroller?
 

Hi,

If you don't need the pulses, leave it unconne ted.

There is a metering chip inside, it calculates reactive power.
