Hi folks,

I'm sure this question comes up a lot but it's hard to find a good comparison.

I'm looking for a new free schematic/routing software.

Having a large library parts database is nice, but I prefer to make my own parts, so really I'm more interested in what is easiest to make parts in.

Simulation is nice, but I don't do much simulation so it's really just an extra.

I guess I'm looking for ease of use, and how easy it is to get gerber design files to send to a board house. All the software I've listed is rather free/unlimited.

I have experience in Cadstar and Eagle. I just got KiCad and Multisim. KiCad so far seems quirky to use so I'm going to mess with Multisim for a little bit.

Thank you,

I presume you had a look at the main threads at the top of the Forum before you posted this?
