hello...
i have laptop toshiba satellite.
When i turn on my laptop, it keeps beeping and beeping...
Faulty keyboard, look likes button number 4 and 6 is a problem..
Try to the unplug the cable of keyboard from motherboard.. BUT MY LAPTOP IS STILL BEEPING.. i cant enter the bios setup.
Is there a short circuit in my motherboard? Which part should i check?
Thanks..
The key board or the mother board is not shorted. I guess the RAM/s is not correctly fixed in the socket or is faulty. Just remove it and replace in the socket after cleaning any dust and loose contacts. Good luck
Thanks for reply..
I don't think that RAM is a problem. I have replaced it with the new one but my laptop still beeping like crazy as if keyboard is shorted.
I try to boot laptop with no RAM attached, the pattern of the beeping is different, more sounds like beep . beep . . . beep . beep, while my problem is that my laptop continuesly beep beep beep beep although with no keyboard present.
Any solution please??
Thanks
Also Check for the power supply voltages and current capacity. Sound like these are caused by problems in peripherals, try to check the heat of devices with finger contact. like I/O controllers and also near power jack.
Along with the sugessions given by "mfarooq1", also check the Cmos battery. When the battery is exhausted, the mother board beeps continuously and cannot boot. Good luck.
