problem with reserved area memory

Hi,
For example if the processor has 11 address lines & maximum memory that we connect to it is 2k bytes. but if I connect only 1k byte of memory & remaining 1k is for reserved.then what happens if processor sends address which is in the reserved area & what the data comes in to the processor from that area.
 

Hi,

It depends on your external curcuitry.
Especially address decoder, wiring, data line pullup/pulldown/keeper.

When you access the second 1k, then maybe you read/write to the first 1k, you read all zeroes, you read all 1, you read the content of the former transfer, or you get random data...
