I have put the AT89C5131 in ISP mode..
I have install FLIP.
Now i my laptop cannot recognise the AT89c5131 yet..
I follow the FLIP steps open the device manager and choose the directory to install the driver manually..
But, still my laptop cannot find a suitable driver for the USB..

wat should i do?

the hardware conditions that i have done to put At89C5131 in ISP mode..
EA left unconnected.
VDD=5V
Vss connected to ground.
Crystal=12Hz and two 22p capacitor for the XTAL1 and XTAL2
Pull reset and PSEN pin low at the same time.
Release reset pin, then PSEN pin.
then, immediately detach the Vref.

at89c5131 isp

- tie your EA high.
- change your crystal to 12Mhz. (I'm sure that's what you meant)
- Make sure that your PLL components are as required.
- your Vref is a momentary detach to simulate an unload condition.

89c5131 ports for output

I had a problem in one of my first systems in which I left EA unconnected. Until I noticed that the port was incrementing for external address fetches. If you want internal bootloader, tie EA high.

Ucap, Avss, and Avdd or all USB related so they must be connected.

Check out the schematics in the starter kit;

This has worked for me.

i dun think i disable the ISP ...wat could be the problem?i feel like it is very unstable ..

usb at89c5131 driver

can you read the manufacturers string or your lock bits, and what does that tell you if you can?

vref pin & hardware reset for at89c5131

my problem is like this:

most of the time , my laptop cannot identify the usb as the AT90S5131..
just occasionally, my laptop identified it , which happen only twice...
after my laptop can identify it, i can programme it then...

now tat my laptop cant identify it..
could it be the problem of my laptop usb port?
coz 1 of the usb port i use for programming like disable ady..no response at all...

i think the circuit shouldnt be a problem coz my laptop can identify it before..

any1 can help here?

Re: AT89C5131

i succeed to run FLIP to programme my AT89C5131 smoothly..
thx alot for the previous help...
now, the problem i encounter is like this:
when i press the start application button at the FLIP, its output is wat i want.
however, after i take off the usb cable, there is no output at all..

i just use very simple code..
i came across BLJB...do i need to set/reset it to enable my application?
or just put it default will do..

any help?
