Hello All,

I am using the CS-023-114.285M crystal (please see attached datasheet )on a PCB. the problem is that this PCB was sent to fabrication, and I discover that pin 2 and 4 should be ground but in the current PCB they are unconnected (floating). does this crystal work if these two pins are not connected to ground? (these two pins are connected to ground for thermal dissipation?)

Many Thanks,

Ballimo

Re: Crystal Package

It will most probably still work as pins 2,4 seems to be just mounting points and aid to reduce stray capacitances, which can be important at these frequencies.
