why IIRF 840 and IRF 540 burns out when a 220V DC given as Vds and incandescent lamp as load(60W) and 10 V Vgs
it works for some time and burns

IRF540 has 100 V Vds rating and can't work. For IRF840, it's essential that the gate soure voltage rises fast enough, e.g. < 1 ms, otherwise the safe operation area would be exceeded. Lamp inrush current of about 3 A won't be a problem if the transistor is switched fast enough.

thank you so much so if i am using irf 840 as u said i should increase the Vgs as soon as the MOSFET is triggered?

How did you generate Vgs when the transistor damage was observed? Can it be that slow rising or even floating Vgs occured?
