problem with 2's compliment value from MMA7660 accelerometer

I have intrfaced MMA7660 accelerometer using I2C protocol.
but the o/p is 6 bit 2's complement form.
I need the 8051 asm code for converet it as signed binary form,
can anyone help me plz.........
