Precompensation/pre-emphasis in LVDS

Hello, if have an LVDS, would combining two of them in parallel as shown in figure give the precompensated output? doesn't it change the common mode/dc node voltages if I connect in parallel?. what is the 1/2 in front of SN65LVDS31 for? is it referring to transistor dimensions?
