powerline communication with max2986 compatible with 220V?

max2986

Hi,

this is my first post in this forum.
I m a french student, I d like to know if it' s possible to use a max2986 to transmit datas on 220V/50hz.

max2986 evaluation kit

Of course you can try MAXIM and its MAX2986 but my feelng is that MAXIM is testing markets with the "on request" data sheet and questionable evaluation kit offer ..

At this stage my suggestion is to look at X-10 protocol:
