Hi,
How to convert input impedance (in complex format x+iy) into real resistance in order to be used in designing an input matching network? By using source pull simulation in ADS i got input impedance as complex number x+iy, and i want to match to 50 ohm by using quarter wave transformer. So, in the ADS matching utility only can use real number, can not use the obtained complex one. Any advice about how to convert this obtained complex input impedance to real value? Thanks in advanced.
