one method is that each 8-bit wide A-Law PCM bytes(values) becomes XOR-ed with the value '01010101', and then decompressed to 14-bit wide linear PCM values. now they can be processed as audio mixing.

why each 8-bit wide A-law PCM bytes becomes XOR-ed with the value '01010101'? why is it '01010101', not others? And how to get the table of
decompressing 8-bit wide A-law PCM bytes to 14-bit wide linear PCM values?
i know i can read the table in the DSP chip ROM, but i don't have a DSP now.

thank you all the same~~ :)
