playing audio from storage device

Hello,
I want to play audio from usb storage device. I found PCM2706 to do it, but i dont understand exactly.When i connect storage device to D+ and D- pin, can i control the audio from func0-1-2-3 pins of pcm2706. Or is pc or host device are required to control audio?
Thanks in advance
 

You can't connect an usb storage device to a DAC device. You need an USB host to setup everything and transport the data.
