I am new to using CST studio and want to simulate a unit cell of a photonic crystal. In order to tailor the unit cell, I need to simulate it using a plane wave and get S-Parameters. I have employed a waveguide port, but I am not sure how to arrange the boundary conditions to achieve a plane wave. A quick quick search on the internet retrieved an official document (https://www.3ds.com/fileadmin/PRODU...-wave-normal-incidence-model-construction.pdf) but in this as well although the boundary conditions are mentioned but the direction of propagation of the input is not mentioned
