My problem is, i want to burn my program's hex file in PIC 16f876A and that is 28 pin IC. but in fact G540 programmer hai has 40 pin adapter. can any body tell me how to connect and what would be the procedure?
it might be trivial for you but i'm beginner in this field. :)

Although I have not tried to program this PIC with the Genius 540, when you select the device the information window should appear showing you the placement of the chip, if it does not then select view and select information. The information windows shows the notch (pin1) of the chip fitted in the pin closest to the leaver of the socket.
